icddr,b invites applications from suitable candidates for consultancy under Health Systems and Population Studies Division.

Assignment/Activity: The consultant will work with the project of Identifying Solutions for Effective One Health Policy and Surveillance on Antibiotic Resistance in Bangladesh. The consultant must comply with the overall Terms of Reference for the consultancy.

Location: Dhaka/Abroad

Expected start date of assignment: January 1, 2025

Duration: 16 days

Scope of work: The consultant will report to his/her respective supervisor and s/he will complete the assigned tasks as planned under the Terms of References (ToR). The consultant will contribute to the project management as follows:

• Provide input on donor reports.
• Provide input on milestones: Help investigators to ensure regular meetings among key personnel, troubleshooting study design and related logistic issues occur in a timely manner.
• Mentor investigators as required.
• Provide content input on study components.
• Mentor and coordinate writing efforts of investigators to identify key subjects for manuscripts and conference presentations.
• Provide input as co-author and senior author, as required.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Ph.D in Epidemiology with a background in Population Health.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in project design and evaluation, social and behavior change communication development, quantitative and qualitative data collection, data analysis in WASH and antibiotic resistance related research.

Specific Responsibilities:

Major responsibilities would include the following:

1. Engage in project workshops
2. Attend investigators meeting
3. Review scoping review
4. Review qualitative guidelines and tools
5. Provide feedback and critique on dissemination efforts
6. Review project report, workshop report
7. Review project deliverables
8. Review proposal development if any
9. Mentor and guide manuscript writing

Key Performance Indicators:

1. One project report and up to six guidelines reviewed
2. Three manuscript outlines planned and reviewed
3. One or more workshops facilitated, and report prepared
