The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) seeks to recruit a consultant to develop an essential veterinary medicines and vaccine list in Kenya. This activity contributes to the implementation of the Fleming Fund antimicrobial resistance (AMR) program, which aims to enhance the surveillance of AMR and antimicrobial use in Kenya using a One Health approach.
ILRI works to improve food security and nutrition and reduce poverty in developing countries through research for efficient, safe, and sustainable use of livestock. It is the only one of 11 CGIAR research centers dedicated entirely to animal agriculture research for the developing world. Co-hosted by Kenya and Ethiopia, ILRI has regional or country offices and projects in East, South and Southeast Asia as well as Central, East, Southern and West Africa. www.ilri.org
Scope of Work
The consultant will be expected to carry out the following tasks:
Final Products
A delivered draft and approved National Veterinary Essential Medicines List.
Consultancy Fee: By mutual agreement based on agreed milestones and deliverables.
Post location: Nairobi with possible travels within Kenya
Contract dates: 15th January 2025 to 30th June 2025 with Maximum 42 working days
