The Development & Outreach Department of Human Rights Watch (HRW) is seeking applicants for the position of Associate to provide fundraising and outreach support as well as administrative assistance.
The Associate will be part of the Santa Barbara Development and Outreach team which serves as an important base for HRW’s development, fundraising, and outreach activities in the region. This is part-time position at 20 hours per week, with an anticipated start in March 2025. This role requires availability to work occasional nights and weekend events, and potential travel. The position will be based in the Santa Barbara area and will report to the Director, Santa Barbara.

Qualifications:
Education: A bachelor’s degree in marketing, international relations, social sciences, or an equivalent combination of work experience and qualifications (e.g. project management certification) is required.
Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant work experience is preferred.

Salary and Benefits: HRW seeks exceptional applicants and offers competitive compensation and employer-paid benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. The salary range for this position if based in the US is $ 60,001- $64,328 prorated to $ 30,000.5- $32,164 to reflect a 50% schedule.
