We are currently seeking qualified MEL Director candidates to be proposed on an anticipated new activity in South Sudan focused on resolving ongoing communal conflicts to reduce violence and build a sustainable peace by addressing the underlying causes of conflict, promoting reconciliation, and supporting the development of inclusive and resilient communities.
Description:
The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Director will oversee the monitoring, evaluation, and learning components of the USAID/South Sudan Peace Building and Independent Media Activity. The MEL Director will lead the development and management of the MEL Plan, develop and maintain systems to collect data, and lead data analysis to produce information on inputs, outputs, outcomes, and impact of the program. The MEL Director will collaborate with and oversee sub-grantees to provide feedback on data collection and indicators, analyze data reported from sub-grantees, and support training of M&E personnel in quality assurance methods. The MEL Director will collaborate with the program team to support learning, evaluation, and planning, and oversee the implementation of operational research (OR) projects as well as analysis, dissemination, and use. The MEL Director will share MEL data and improvement plans, as well as strategies for program improvements for greater program effects with the program team. It is anticipated that the position will be based in Juba, South Sudan, and will report to the Chief of Party.
