About the Opportunity
The Deputy Country Director – Program Quality (DCD PQ) at Relief International in Syria is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring high-quality, evidence-driven programs, strategic oversight, and technical expertise across the country portfolio. The role involves managing a large budget, leading technical teams, and representing RI with donors, partners, and stakeholders. The DCD PQ will oversee program design, quality assurance, and MEAL systems while promoting accountability, innovation, and gender mainstreaming.
Your Responsibilities
This role includes the following responsibilities.
· Lead the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based programs, ensuring strategic alignment and operational effectiveness.· Oversee program design, quality assurance, and implementation of MEAL systems.· Represent RI externally, fostering partnerships with donors, stakeholders, and humanitarian clusters.· Manage resources, ensure risk oversight, and ensure compliance with RI policies.· Provide leadership to technical teams and support capacity development.About You
You will bring the following experience and skills.
· Expertise in program quality, design, and technical oversight within complex humanitarian contexts.· Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.· Proven ability to represent organizations externally with donors, partners, and stakeholders in high-level forums.· In-depth knowledge of MEAL systems, program quality benchmarks, and gender and protection mainstreaming.· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt strategies to evolving operational challenges.
