Org. Setting and Reporting
This position is located in the Office of the Chief of Staff (UNMIK) in Pristina. The selected candidate will report to the P-4 Mission Planning Officer as his/her First Reporting Officer.
Responsibilities
Within delegated authority, the Programme Management Officer will be responsible for the following duties: • Coordinates all actions required for the effective implementation of Programmatic Activities (PAs) and the management of actions on PAs in the mission through monitoring and analyzing programme/project development and implementation, and reviewing relevant documents and reports • Researches, analyses and presents information gathered from diverse sources related to the design and implementation of Programmatic Activities (PA) • Ensures compilation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and updates on PAs from relevant offices on a regular basis and report corporate and mission Specific KPIs to Senior Management. • Delivers KPI data analysis of the mission’s performance on PAs communicating findings based on data, research, analytical insights to inform decision-making by senior management. • Implements data modeling to identify and transform data components for the PAs in collaboration with Mission Support Division. Provides analysis and presents trends or patterns in data by creating visualizations and interactive dashboards on the implementation of PAs, and leads on PA reporting processes. • Ensures accuracy and completeness of documented requirements, background information and methodology used for data analysis of PAs • Performs other related duties as required.

Work Experience
At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in applied analytics and business intelligence (BI) reporting for administrative services, human resources, financial management or related area is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to 5 years for candidates who possess a first level university degree Experience in project or programme management is desirable Hands-on experience designing and deploying self-service analytics and reports in data visualization applications (MS PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau or similar) is desirable. Experience in the use and deployment of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools (e.g. Umoja) is desirable. Experience of working in a UN Peace Operation is desirable. Experience in Programmatic Activities (PAs) planning and/or delivery is desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the advertised position, fluency in English is required.
