The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is leading a consortium of partners in implementation of the EU-funded BORESHA NABAD
BORESHA NABAD is implemented across Kenya, Ethiopia and Somalia borderland areas. Building upon BORESHA I, II and III, BORESHA NABAD is centered on enhancing the effectiveness of conflict prevention and mitigation, disaster risk reduction and management, and resilience-building in cross-border communities. DRC is partnering with Rural Agency for Community Development (RACIDA), Voice for Peace for All in the Horn of Africa (VOPA) and Mandera Women for Peace and Development (WFPD) to deliver BORESHA NABAD.
Overall purpose of the role:
Based in Nairobi with regular travel to field locations, the Project Support Assistant will play a key role in providing project and operational support to the BORESHA-NABAD consortium, led by DRC. The selected candidate will be responsible for efficiently coordinating field operations, developing and maintaining programme filing systems, documenting meeting minutes, facilitating meetings and workshops, organizing field travel logistics, and communicating effectively with consortium agency field teams to ensure seamless support to operational locations. Additionally, the Project Support Assistant will assist in coordinating high-level visits, monitoring partner reports, and ensuring timely dissemination of information to both the Project Management Unit (PMU) and consortium staff on programme support needs.

Education
• A Diploma or University Degree in Social Sciences or any other related degree
Languages:
• Fluent in spoken and written English, Kiswahili and any of the local languages ( Somali or Borana)

Contract: One Year. Salary and other conditions are other conditions are offered in accordance with DRC’s Terms of Employment for Employment band I – Non Management
