About the job
The Support Service Team Leeader is to coordinate the support functions at Area Office and off-load the Area Manager’s support related functions.Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Line management of support staff (Finance, HR & Admin, Supply Chain).
- Ensure compliance with DRC policies, donor/auditor requirements, and support quality project implementation.
- Align operational support with program plans and contribute to Area Plan of Action.
- Facilitate the Area Support Budget, reports, and technical SOPs for HR, Logistics, and Finance.
- Conduct training for staff on support procedures and build technical capacity of support staff.
- Maintain coordination with local authorities, Juba-based support departments, and stakeholders.
- Ensure staff safety, security, and risk mitigation, including compliance checks.
- Support adherence to Securing Supporting Documentation (SSD) SOP and data management systems.
- Coordinate resource allocation, procurement, HR, and spending plans in line with budgets.
- Investigate fraud allegations and produce reports as directed.
- Lead weekly coordination meetings and ensure follow-up on action points.
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work with limited supervision., excellent computer skills in MS Word & and Excel, as well as experience working with an ERP system and Sound knowledge of cost planning, budgeting, and financial reporting
Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Business Studies, Marketing, HR, Finance, Supply Chain Management etc. Masters degree or Professional qualifications like CIPS, CIMA, CIS, ACCA etc would be an added advantage.
- Sound knowledge of cost planning, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Experience in management of HR and administrative teams
- Good knowledge of procurement procedures
- Full professional proficiency in English.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexible, reliable and trustworthy.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills;
- Good computer skills particularly Microsoft Office
Desirable
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience at a management level.
- Experience of working with DRC’s main donors (UN Agencies, ECHO, DANIDA, BHA etc.)
- Excellent computer skills in MS Word & and Excel, as well as experience working with an ERP system
