The overall aim of this role is to provide field level technical support to the nutrition Cooperating partners. To perform routine field level technical and operational support to cooperating partners towards quality implementation of nutrition specific, nutrition sensitive, and SBC programme activities under WFP Cox’s Bazar office. Provide coordination support primarily between the WFP Cox’s bazar nutrition and the NGOs for improved programme design, implementation, management, reporting and monitoring of the integrated nutrition program. In addition, the role will focus on leading field supportive supervision, capacity strengthening, support to evidence generation initiatives, and documentation of programme critical experiences, lessons, and results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):

1. Perform technical and coordination support to the nutrition partners for the implementation of WFP’s Malnutrition Prevention and Treatment programme and SBC activities for both Host and refugee communities in Cox’s Bazar supporting alignment with wider programme policies and guidelines.
2. Support and facilitate capacity building/development of cooperating partners and sub-national government health and family planning officials to prepare for and respond to nutrition needs.
3. Provide project management and/or general office support following established targets and WFP’s policies and procedures.
4. Assist in compiling monthly beneficiary and food utilization statistics. Verify the planned movements and distribution of specialized nutritious food or non-food items, resolving routine issues and escalating where appropriate, to ensure that the quantity distributed, and the quality of the operation is in line with WFP standards.
5. Review the reports from nutrition partners, support the analysis of data and preparation of nutrition unit report in WFP’s corporate system (COMET, Partner connect) in collaboration with Programme Associate and data analyst-Nutrition to support operational decision-making.
6. Work and exchange information with internal counterparts (i.e. GFA, finance, RAM, VAM, SC and others) to support effective collaboration, implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities.
7. Support communication and activities with nutrition cooperating partners, other UN agencies, communities, government institutions and other relevant stakeholders.
8. Support the programme lead and programme officers to translate monitoring findings from M&E into actual programme quality improvement at field level.
9. Support partnership processes to Programme associate and Programme officers including partner evaluations, review of partner EoI, proposals, budgets, and partner agreements.
10. Ensure the visibility of WFP in the coverage areas.
11. Represent WFP in critical fora as delegated to facilitate coordination, consultation and collaboration with key government bodies and partner organizations at Upazila and camp level.
12. Act as a point of contact for resolution of general operational queries requesting assistance where necessary.
13. Perform any other tasks as required in the context of the overall WFP operations, including emergency preparedness and response.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Education: Completion of University Degree (Bachelors) in Public Health, Nutrition, Development Studies, Sociology or any relevant subject.

Experience: At least 5 years of solid & responsible work experience in Nutrition/Public Health or any related experience.

Language: Fluency in spoken and written both in English and Bangla language.
