Job description
The project supports five regional Knowledge Hubs and their networks in Africa. The Knowledge Hubs, consisting of 30 organisations in 18 countries, work together to improve access to and dissemination of knowledge on organic agriculture and agroecology. The implementing partners prepare technical and methodological knowledge, support and train multipliers, co-develop the KCOA digital knowledge platform and work on advocacy activities.
Your tasks
As part of your internship, you will have the following tasks, among others:
- Assist in project management, including internal organisation and cooperation with partner NGOs• Support the organisation, scheduling, and documentation of (online) meetings
- Assist in preparing meeting content, including materials and agenda
- Take an active role in shaping and driving the agenda, ensuring key topics are prioritised and aligned with project objectives
- Support in the conceptual, editorial and graphic design and quality assurance of internal and external communication materials and project reports (e.g. newsletters, progress reports, presentations, factsheets, success stories, publications, photo database, websites)
- Collaboration in the preparation of webinars and workshops, logistical and content-related co-organisation of events
Your profile
- Completed bachelor’s degree in agricultural or environmental sciences, communications, journalism, international development or a related field; a master’s degree is an advantage
- Understanding of organic agriculture and agroecology; interest in project management and communication
- Ability to present technical content in a concise and target group-oriented manner; good oral and written communication skills
- Business fluent in French and English; additional good knowledge of German would be an advantage
