Duties and Responsibilities
Duties may include, but are not limited to: 1. Supporting digital strategy implementation: • Assist in the development of engaging digital assets for UN Brazil (@onubrasil) social media accounts, including cards, videos and explainers. • Edit and produce short video content for social media and websites, including preparing and embedding subtitles in English and Portuguese. • Assist in development of digital campaigns covering UN priorities, such as climate change, human rights and information integrity, by drafting copies and helping organizing schedules. • Assist in research on emerging opportunities to increase UN Brazil’s digital presence and engagement on social media platforms. 2. Supporting events management and organization: • Assist in organizing events, press conferences, campaigns and public outreach activities. • Support outreach efforts with partners and the UN System in Brazil. • Assist in mapping potential partners and sponsors in media and civil society. • Support in updating and expanding existing mailing lists. • Support relationships with suppliers. Daily responsibilities will depend on the needs of the Centre and will take into account current and evolving priorities and global/local events.
Qualifications/special skills
Please note that to qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Programme, applicants must meet one of the following requirements: a. Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or, b. Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent). Applicants must also: – Be computer literate in standard software applications – Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the UN Charter – Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.
