Where you come in:

 

As part of Save the Children’s commitment to supporting communities affected by disasters and in the aftermath of the 17 December Earthquake affecting Shefa Province, the Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) Coordinator will work closely with the Response and Recovery Manager to lead and implement cash programming initiatives during the earthquake response and recovery period. This role ensures that CVA activities align with Save the Children’s standards and donor requirements while addressing the needs of affected families and communities.

 

You will make an impact by:

 

· Strategy Development: Collaborate with the Response and Recovery Manager and Regional Cash Technical Advisor to create a tailored cash response strategy for immediate and long-term recovery.

· Program Design & Implementation: Design and implement inclusive cash transfer programs aligned with Recovery Committee objectives and community needs.

· Operational Coordination: Work with financial teams to manage registration, verification, disbursement, and post-monitoring processes.

· Risk & Compliance: Identify risks in CVA programming and ensure adherence to safety protocols and donor guidelines.

· Team Leadership: Support a project officer through coaching, KPI monitoring, and capacity-building; conduct regular check-ins and meetings.

· Partnerships & Coordination: Coordinate with the Recovery Operations Centre, NDM, Cash Working Group, and financial service providers to ensure effective CVA delivery.

· MEAL & Reporting: Collect data, document lessons learned and provide progress updates to CMT and SMT; ensure donor compliance and accountability.

· Child Safeguarding: Uphold child protection policies and promptly address any safety concerns.

You have project and operation management and coordination skills, strong understanding of program implementation, excited to learn, adhere to policies & guidelines and able to work in a flexible and high achieving team.

 

This role requires:

 

  • Prior experience with cash and voucher assistance (CVA) preferred but not essential
  • Tertiary qualification at an undergraduate or diploma level
  • Minimum 3 years’ work experience
  • Program management experience preferred, within the NGO or Government sectors also preferred but not required.
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines, responsive to external requests and strong team player.
  • Effective communication and networking skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with Save the Children’s values, child safeguarding policies, and commitment to child rights.
  • Willingness to travel widely in Shefa Province to support field teams
