Duties and Responsibilities
As an established global knowledge brokerage, the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) is a global community of policy, business, and finance professionals and organisations committed to collaboratively generating, managing, and sharing knowledge on the transition to an inclusive green and circular economy. The GGKP is led by United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the World Bank. The mission of GGKP is to empower government decision makers, companies and financial institutions with evidence-based knowledge that can best support them to contribute effectively to the green and circular economy transition. GGKP provides its best practice knowledge brokerage services through its three core platforms, the Green Policy Platform, the Green Industry Platform, and the Green Finance Platform, as well as its online interactive community space, the Green Forum. In addition to its three platforms and the Green Forum, GGKP also provides targeted knowledge management, communication and stakeholder engagement services for global projects funded under the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The core focuses of GGKP as a knowledge brokerage are: ● Using world-class knowledge management, communication and application systems and tools to provide practitioners, policymakers, and other experts with opportunities to access, share, and apply green and circular economy policy analysis, guidance, information, and data. ● Identifying major knowledge gaps in green and circular economy theory and practice and addressing these gaps by promoting collaboration and coordinated research. GGKP supports the enhancement of circular economy knowledge generation, management and sharing globally. To achieve this objective GGKP aims to ensure a clear alignment between those stakeholders that, 1) produce knowledge, 2) provide enabling policy environment and financial supports, and 3) those that are the end-users of the same. A core aspect of this project is therefore to enhance knowledge and experience exchange between value chain stakeholders. A consultant is sought to support GGKP in its engagement with value chain stakeholders to help improve exchange of experience and sharing of knowledge, and provide SME intermediaries with adapted tools and knowledge to address the specific needs of their SME networks.
