INDONESIA: CAPACITY BUILDING SUPPORT CONSULTANT

CURRENT OPPPORTUNTIY
The consultant will assist in the RE-ACT project implementation in Indonesia, which will include the following:
- Provide technical support to ensure RE-ACT activities align with strategic priorities, emphasizing the strengthening of the Government of Indonesia’s ownership. This includes supporting the project team in developing capacity-building measures for evidence-based policy recommendations and promoting green investment opportunities.
- Support the project team to ensure that capacity-building measures are appropriately targeted, with relevant context, content, and participants. Assist in organizing workshops and training sessions as part of the implementation of the RE-ACT project. Additionally, prepare detailed reports for each workshop or training session, emphasizing the capacity improvements achieved and alignment with the targeted outcomes.
- Support the project team in engaging with key stakeholders to maintain effective coordination by fostering open communication channels and collaboration across all project components. This includes working closely with government representatives, technical experts, and other partners to ensure that capacity-building measures, workshops, and training programs align with strategic priorities.
- Provide comprehensive support for the implementation of project activities, ensuring all tasks are executed efficiently and in alignment with the project’s timeline, objectives, and strategic priorities. This includes monitoring progress, identifying and addressing potential delays or challenges, and ensuring that deliverables meet the required standards.
- Any other relevant support task required for the RE-ACT project.
The consultant will work under the supervision of the Energy Lead. The consultant’s duties and responsibilities are indicative and subject to further detailing through specific service requests to be made by GGGI during the contract duration. This service will be within the objectives of the assignment stated above.
EXPERTISE INFORMATION
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in energy/engineering/management/economics, or any related fields.
- Proven work experience in renewable energy in Indonesia.
- Demonstrated expertise in research or policy development related to renewable energy in Indonesia.
- In-depth knowledge about Indonesia’s renewable energy policies, electrification from renewable energy sources, and the integration of renewable energy into Indonesia’s grid infrastructure.
- Proven experience in developing capacity-building measures, as well as planning and conducting workshops or training sessions.
- Fluency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, with a minimum TOEFL IBT score of 80.
- Excellent team player and able to work effectively within tight timelines.
ADDITIONAL IINFORMATION
1) Timeframe
The assignment will be completed over 8 months from February 2025 to September 2025
2) Consultancy fee:
The Consultant will be paid fees for 120 working days at a rate of USD 50 per day (based on a day of 8 hours) for those days during the Term when the Contractor provides the Services. If the Consultant provides the Services for less than the required hours on any day, then fees for that day will be reduced proportionally.

- A cover letter of no more than one (1) pages that demonstrates how the candidate’s qualifications meet the work requirements (in English);
- A curriculum vitae which, at a minimum, describes education, latest experience and career achievements related to the assignment (in English);
- Names, current and accurate contract numbers (email and phone) of three (3) professional references that have knowledge of the applicant’s abilities to perform the duties set forth in the solicitation (in English);
