Mission and objectives
The Frontier Tech Leaders Programme is a joint initiative of UNDP Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (ICPSD) SDG AI Lab and UN Technology Bank for Least Developed Countries and supported by the Government of Türkiye. The Frontier Tech Leaders Programme aims to raise a new generation of tech specialists to strengthen local capacities and develop digital solutions for the LDCs (Least Developed Countries) towards achieving the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). Furthermore, the initiative will inspire young people as well as promote gender equality, encouraging women to pursue tech education and careers.
Context
As part of the Frontier Tech Leaders Programme, the volunteer will contribute to the programme’s technical and educational goals by creating and updating content related to Large Language Models (LLMs), as well as delivering two interactive sessions. These efforts will equip participants with the skills to understand, develop, and implement LLM-based solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Task Description
The Volunteer will be responsible for: Content Update: Reviewing and updating an existing LLM-related content piece to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with current best practices in the field. Content Creation: Developing a new instructional resource focused on LLM applications, tailored to the workshop theme “How to Develop Your Own Chatbot.” Session Delivery: Conducting two interactive sessions, one focused on foundational concepts of LLMs and the second as a workshop on developing a custom chatbot using LLMs. Training Material Development: Preparing supporting materials, including presentations, coding examples, and step-by-step instructions for hands-on activities. Collaborative Curriculum Development: Coordinating with programme leads to ensure content and sessions align with the overall programme objectives. Participant Engagement: Encouraging active participation during sessions through Q&A, live demos, and practical exercises. Feedback Integration: Gathering participant feedback to improve future sessions and content.
