JOB DESCRIPTION

NRC is currently implementing Baxnaano Shock Response project in collaboration with WFP in Dhobley. The project involves targeting, and delivery of cash transfers to selected beneficiaries in Dhobley, using a community-based approach to ensure inclusion and fairness. In addition, the coordination with local authorities, regional stakeholders, and community leaders to ensure that the project is implemented in alignment with local needs and realities.

The scope registrar will conduct sensitization of the beneficiaries, biometric data/scope registration, topping up and redemption process.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Collect quality data on participants including biometrics in accordance with the WFP scope registration system guideline.
  • Make sure that participants rough draft list is approved by the village committee.
  • Work and collaborate community relief committees and elders to fast-track participants registration
  • Distribute and Verify participants identification token before proceeding the participant registration process.
  • Verify participants whether they are part of other similar interventions that can trigger duplicate.
  • Cross check participant data with the information provided by the elders and identification token.
  • Conduct sensitization awareness before and during the scope registration to prevent risks associated with misunderstanding, inclusion, and exclusion errors.
  • Work closely with FSL, Community Mobilizers, and MEL team on disseminating messages, and reporting accountability incidents.
  • Laise with and take part in FSL programme activities as required and instructed by the FSL team.

Skills and qualifications

Qualifications

  • Post Secondary professional certification with minimum two years of experience in similar work.
  • Post secondary diploma with one year of experience in similar work.
  • bachelor’s degree with no previous experience in similar work

Skills and competencies

  • ability and knowledge to use and understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, word)
  • ability to proactively perceive risk and solve problems.
  • good communication skills both written and oral
  • fluency in English and Somali both written and oral
  • ability to work under pressure.
  • Good understanding in humanitarian principles
  • ability travel to multiple project sites and district across project targets.
