About CRS Benin
CRS has been present in Benin since 1958 and has long-standing relationships throughout the country with ecclesiastical and non-ecclesiastical partners, government and local communities. The CRS program in Benin has a growing and diversified funding base with projects funded by the US Department of Agriculture, USAID, and the PATRIP Foundation in the sectors of education, social cohesion, nutrition, food security and livelihoods, agriculture, water, sanitation and hygiene, and humanitarian response. CRS has offices in Cotonou and Parakou and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) McGovern- Dole Food for Education and Child Nutrition-funded Keun Faaba is one of its flagship projects implemented in phases since 2014. The program focuses on improving the quality of education in maternal and primary school through improved literacy, school feeding programs, WASH and nutrition actions, income generating activities for parents as well as capacity building of local and central authorities to ensure program ownership and sustainability.
Job Summary
Pending a successful bid, you will provide leadership and overall management of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) funded McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition project to serve the poor and vulnerable. Your leadership, management and technical knowledge will ensure the delivery of high-quality programming and advance the position of CRS as a leading agency in education, school feeding, WASH and nutrition. As a senior leader you will proactively manage security and mitigate security risks.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Deputy Chief of Party and other senior positions to be determined.
Key Working Relationships:
Internal: Head of Programming, Head of Operations, Supply Chain team, Project team, Country Representative, Finance Manager and finance team, MEAL team, HQ Project Support Officer for Benin, global USDA grants management team, and global and regional technical advisors.
External: USDA, Sub recipients and other stakeholders, Government officials, public and private sector stakeholders, donors, industry experts, local/international NGOs, and local and international Catholic agencies, Ministry of Primary Education, educations partners & stakeholders, steering committee of integrated school feeding program of Benin, etc.

CRS offers are contingent on the selected candidate’s ability to legally work where the position is to be performed. Every government has a unique set of work permit eligibility requirements.
