JOB DESCRIPTION

Org. Setting and Reporting
This position is located in the Facilities Management Unit in UNDOF. The Facilities Management Assistant will usually report to the head of the section.
Responsibilities
Within delegated authority, the Facilities Management Assistant will carry out the following duties: • Collect and analyze data, create reports and provide recommendations in relation to resources used for operating facilities, such as energy, water, and other variables. • Participating in developing and improving monitoring systems and processes for operating facilities. • Ensures that staff members and staff officers are properly accommodated in a workplace that supports their needs and expectations • Monitors and manages major assets within the workplace to ensure proper use and maintenance. • Monitor the tools/equipment and material inventory; Ensure the use of the materials in most productive manner. • Sets up and improves processes that facilitate everyday operations • Perform other functions as assigned by the supervisor

Education
High school diploma or equivalent diploma plus certification/diploma or other supplemental Academic qualifications or training is required.
Job – Specific Qualification
A national valid driving license type B is desirable. Solid computer skills, including full proficiency in various MS Office application (word, excel, PowerPoint) and other IT applications and office equipment technology is required.
Work Experience
A minimum of five (4) years of experience in facilities management, building management, engineering, architecture, computer science, administrative services or related areas are required. Very good knowledge in Microsoft Excel, and the usage of digital monitoring and analytical tools and systems, such as Field Remote Infrastructure Monitoring System or similar. Experience in working in a multicultural international organization or company.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
Assessment
Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by competency-based interview.
