The research assistant is expected to fulfill the following tasks under the supervision of the Health Policy Advisor (Universal Health Coverage Partnership) in WHO Azerbaijan: A. Research and Data Collection • Conduct desktop research and literature reviews on health, policy, and investment-related topics pertaining to the health workforce. • Manage and maintain research and HLMA databases and resources for easy access and reference. • Assist in organizing dialogues, workshops, and consultation meetings to disseminate evidence. B. Meeting and Event Organization • Support partnership development by maintaining a database of key stakeholder contacts, including government entities, UN agencies, NGOs, and research organizations. • Arrange and coordinate online and face-to-face meetings, trainings, round tables, and conference logistics. • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and UHC planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation activities. • Take meeting notes, prepare meeting minutes, and draft technical process reports. C. Technical and Administrative Support • Draft official documents, including event programs, official letters, visa support letters, invitation letters, etc. • Assist in organizing WHO missions and field visits, supporting data collection and follow-up activities. D. Translation and Editing • Provide translation and editing support for medical and technical documents, presentations, and training materials in English and Azerbaijani. • Ensure accuracy and consistency of medical terminology in translated documents. E. Reporting and Documentation • Assist in preparing event-related documents, including concept notes, event summary reports, and briefing notes. • Archive and maintain research documents, reports, and correspondence for future reference.

o Post-graduate degree in public health, epidemiology, environmental health, or related field is desirable. o Any experience in quantitative and qualitative research, reporting, database management and relevant field of work is desirable. o Excellent intercultural sensitivity and communication skills. o Excellent writing and drafting skills in documents and reports in the English language. o Computer Skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Online research skills, Information management, and Experience with statistical packages such as STATA, SPSS, etc. will be an added advantage.
