Your tasks

During your internship you will have the following tasks, among others:

Support with development economic analyses and briefings, preparation of presentations and processing of economic data on key macro-, socio-, and political-economic developments and specialist topics in Africa.
Preparation of presentations and articles to communicate project examples and key topics in the Africa department.
Support with the preparation of status reports and appointment preparations, short summaries of important reports and the preparation of a regular press review.
Support with the preparation and implementation of events in the department.
Maintenance of the intranet presence of the Africa department.
Collaboration on the topic of “Cooperation with the EU” (creation of briefings, etc.).
Collaboration on the topic of internal digitalization.
Support in processing queries in the department on various topics and summarizing and processing the responses.

Your profile

You have completed a basic degree in economics, regional or social sciences
You have very good written communication skills in German and English, and a good knowledge of French
You have very good analytical and organizational skills
You are characterized by high motivation and initiative and are willing to help where support is needed
Ideally, you have already dealt with African trends and topics, as well as development cooperation during your studies
Experience in other African countries, especially in development cooperation, is desirable
