Mission and objectives

Update

Context

Eritrea’s commitment to sustainable development and gender equality aligns with UNDP’s global mission to eradicate poverty, reduce inequalities, and build resilient societies. As a trusted partner for over 31 years, UNDP Eritrea has supported the nation in achieving remarkable milestones—including the historic attainment of all health-related Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)—while advancing inclusive governance, environmental sustainability, and women’s empowerment. Through UNDP’s GEN3 initiative, supported by TRAC 2 funding, concrete outcomes have emerged across key sectors. In gender equality, we’ve seen increased women’s participation in leadership and economic activities through targeted skills development and entrepreneurship programs. Crisis recovery efforts have built community resilience through sustainable solutions that address both immediate needs and long-term development challenges. The human dimension of this progress will form the core of our storytelling. These authentic narratives will showcase stories and successes from the field and reflect how TRAC 2 resources have contributed to advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment. This 2-minute video will blend emotional storytelling with clear evidence of impact, presenting UNDP’s work through both personal perspectives and measurable results. The production will maintain professional standards while capturing the authentic voices of beneficiaries, focusing on real people and tangible outcomes. The video will demonstrate UNDP’s role as a trusted partner in Eritrea’s progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
