Context and justification
The Central African Republic (RCA) has submitted to Gavi a request for the implementation of a preventive vaccination campaign to immunize around 52,000 health workers and front -line workers (HCWS and FLWS) with the Ebola (Ervebo) virus vaccine.It is a strategic public health initiative in a context of high health vulnerability.This campaign will mark the first use of the ERVEBO vaccine in RCA, requiring specialized technical support to guarantee effective planning and execution.To this end, it is proposed to recruit a specialist in cold and logistical chain in vaccination against Ebola to accompany the health authorities of the RCA in the implementation of this campaign.
Object of consultation
The objective of this mission is to provide technical support for the implementation of preventive vaccination with the Ebola vaccine in the country.
Consultant’s key activities
The consultant will have the tasks of:
• Improve the communication plan by sharing the RCA experience,
• Collaborate with the PEV communication team and partners to adapt the RCCE strategy to the target population,
• Develop a rumor management plan and disinformation.
Deliverables
The expert’s intervention will ensure:
• A secure and efficient introduction of the ERVEBO vaccine in RCA with optimal vaccination coverage of target groups.
• Reinforcement of local technical capacities in the critical fields of public health.

Position profile
Diploma and qualification
Essential:
University diploma in communication or master’s degree in communication.
Desirable:
Training or good knowledge of the development of integrated crisis communication plans.
Experience
Essential:
Have at least 5 years of experience in the implementation of Ebola vaccination at national and international levels, in areas related to vaccination, risk communication and community commitment.
Other skills
Essential:
Master the French language.
Desirable:
Have leadership capacities with managerial capacities and skills to work with national authorities and partners;
Have work experience in difficult conditions.
