Area of ​​activity

With the approach “Good services for peace and stability (GDFS), the Federal Foreign Office would like to expand the commitment to the targeted support and political flanking of international peace processes and in stabilization contexts. The measures serve the goal of preventing conflicts or working in the sense of a coherent crisis management and contributing to mediation, crisis prevention and stabilization in affected regions.is part of the stabilization of the foreign office, which specializes in the technical advice of the AA in fragile contexts as well as crisis and conflict regions.For this purpose, the team works together in close coordination with the responsible presentations, international partners as well as internal and external service providers.

Your tasks

As part of your internship, you have the following tasks:

Participation in the logistical design of dialog formats
Support in the administrative and organizational preparation, implementation and follow-up of dialogue measures in presence, hybrids and/or virtual formats
Support in the invitation and participant management
Travel organization (flight booking, insurance, travel communication with the participants)
Creating and revising documents for the dialogue formats (program designs, participation lists, briefing documents for moderation and speakers as well as presentations (in German and English)
Research for resource people (e.g. experts, moderation) as well as service providers and locations for dialogue formats
Protocol tour of meetings and events
Support for unity in knowledge management, administrative and organizational tasks as well as data management and care

Your profile

Completed basic studies or BA in event management, communication science, social science subjects or comparable fields
Experience in event management, ideally in an international context
Knowledge and initial experiences in the field of political dialogue and dialogue processes as well as in cooperation with federal ministries and/or international organizations are an advantage
High interest in topics in German and international foreign and security policy, in particular crisis prevention, stabilization and peace processes
Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new subject areas, initiative and independent work style, resilience
Good teamwork and pronounced sensitivity in political (intercultural) contexts
Negotiating knowledge of German and English (further language skills are an advantage, in particular Arabic, French, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian)
Good mastery of the usual Microsoft Office applications, experience in the use of digital event tools advantageous (including MS Teams)
