The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) advises the Global Health sector project on various topics of global health policy such as containing infectious diseases, role of multilateral health initiatives, strengthening health systems and local vaccine production, as well as promoting digital approaches.The position is located in the BMZ advice on digital health.
Your tasks
As part of your internship, you have the following tasks:
Support in the political and specialist advice of the BMZ in the field of digital health
Support in the creation and update of analyzes, evaluations of the factual stands and speaking points on the above topics in German and English
Research on current developments in the field of digital health and recordings of relevant health policy discourses
Support in coordinating appointments and communication with the BMZ and international partners
Support in the preparation and follow-up of specialist events and, if necessary, virtual accompaniment
Your profile
From the 4th semester of health sciences, medicine, medical computer science, a political or social science course with reference to digital health
They show a pronounced interest in development cooperation, global health policy and topics such as digital health in developing countries
You have ideally gained first experience in this regard as part of your studies or through internships at home and abroad
They are able to research even under time pressure, on certain topics, to write concise technical and political texts in German or English and to quickly incorporate themselves into complex facts and to communicate understandably.They are proactive and can also advance work tasks independently
They also keep an overview of several parallel processes, are well organized and structured and have experience in prioritization.To do this, they bring an analytical and strategic thinking with them
Careful communication, safe demeanor and appreciative behavior and tone in the team are a matter of course for you
You speak fluent German and English
