TheSeniorAssociate, Catalytic Opportunity Fundis a criticalmember of theSRHteam whosupportsthe day-to-dayoperationsofa small-grants funding mechanism that supports rapid deployment of funds for reproductive health products acrosslow-and middle-income countries.TheSeniorAssociate will support the overallcoordination, implementation, and maintenance of a range of activitiesthat underpinthepre-award and post-awardlife cycle ofgrantinvestments.TheSeniorAssociate willbe responsible forexecuting day-to-day responsibilities formanaging two funding streams ofa grantmaking fund.We areseekinga highly motivated, entrepreneurial individual withexceptional attention to detail, project management acumen,problem solving skills,penchant for operational tasks,communication abilities,and analytical skills to synthesizeandconsolidateinformation and draw connectionswhen executing grantmaking activities.TheSeniorAssociate must also be able to function independently, balance multiple priorities simultaneously, and work effectively across a range of stakeholders.

TheSeniorAssociatewill drive a consistent approach to uphold the integrity ofthefundingbrand and achieve operational excellence of the maintenance of the fund.Theirresponsibilitiesincludefacilitatingthe fund’spre-award and post-award processes,managingcommunicationswith applicants and grantees,updatingsystems and tools with key information across thegrantlife cycle,maintaining integrity of data in relevant grants management systems,ensuringstrongrecord-keeping and document storage practices,facilitating the grant contracting and reporting processes,andcoordinating across various internal and external stakeholders.In addition, theSeniorAssociatewillreview application materials,consolidatefeedback from reviewers andtranslate it for applicants,synthesize revisions and feedbackin order toindependentlydevelop recommendationsfor COFreviewersand elevate key questions,coordinate across the team to gather necessary input to facilitate review and decision-making,and developkeymaterialsfor grant recommendations.The role willdistill program knowledgeinto grantmaking activities,perform other administrative and project management functionsto ensure smooth executionof the funding streams,leaddata reporting,contribute to implementation of COF strategic priorities,and support projectson the COF team.TheSeniorAssociate will cultivate knowledge of program and product strategies to ensure day-to-day operationsareoperationalized closely in service of programs goals.

This role will report to the Catalytic Opportunity Fund Manager and will work in close partnership with other team members of the small-grants team, as well as the widerSRHTeam. The Senior Associate can be based in the United States or a CHAI program country in Africa, pending Country Director approval.

Please note this is a full-time, fixed-term position for12months.

Responsibilities

Application and Grant Coordination

Support theday-to-day operationsandimplementationof thesmall-grants fund,includingleading execution ofpre-award and post-award processes fortwo product funding streams

Bring project management skills and exceptional attention to detail to execute day-to-day grantmaking activities and usher a high volume of applications through the pre-award and post-award lifecycle

Track and adhere to key deadlinesthroughout the grant lifecycle

Manage record-keeping andaccuratedocument storage

Updategrants managementsoftwaresandsystemswithtimelydataregardingapplicants’ and grantees’ status in the application and grant-life cycle;maintainingstrong dataaccuracy

Coordinate the end-to-end grants and contracts processes with internal and external parties

Support application reviews including eligibility checks,consolidatedereviewer feedback anddistillfeedback to applicants and grantees

Synthesize application revisions and feedback and prepare recommendations for COF reviewers, elevating keyquestions tofacilitatedecision-making

Coordinate across the team to gather necessary input tofacilitatereview and decision-making

Develop key materials for grant recommendations and update tracking systems

Review reports from subgrantees and ensure completion of deliverables

Actively cultivate knowledge ofproduct/programworkstreams (E.G.DMPA-SC, HormonalJud, macombipacks, etc.)and apply to day-to-day grant operations

Ensure day-to-dayexecution is in service of product strategies and workstreams and grantmaking criteria is effectively applied and distilled to applicants and grantees

Facilitate the grantee awardprocess, includingdevelopingcommunications to decline proposals, award proposals, and provide clear, robust feedback to applicants

Conductapplicationpre-screening and ensure requiredapplicationmaterials are received

Monitor and review grant modifications, consulting the Manager as needed
