United Nations Development Programme is hiring a A volunteers: experts in crisis management and community recovery / sustainable solutions.
A. Strategic and technical support • Develop and operationalize durable solutions strategies for IDPs in targeted provinces (North Kivu, Ituri, South Kivu). • Provide technical support to post-crisis assessments, stabilization plans and territorial planning exercises. • Ensure alignment with national and provincial policies on displacement and recovery. B. Program development and implementation • Participate in the design and implementation of integrated recovery projects (livelihoods, basic services, governance, social cohesion). • Integrate the principles of conflict sensitivity, inclusion and gender equality. • Support the effective inclusion of IDPs in community planning processes. C. Coordination and partnerships • Represent UNDP in relevant coordination mechanisms: Durable Solutions Working Group, Protection Cluster, provincial humanitarian coordination. • Strengthen partnerships with UN agencies (MONUSCO, UNHCR, IOM, OCHA), local authorities, civil society and donors. • Support resource mobilization for durable solutions initiatives. D. Capacity building and knowledge management • Design and deliver training for local authorities, CSOs and UNDP staff. • Document good practices and capitalize on field experiences. • Contribute to UNDP regional and global platforms on post-crisis recovery. E. Monitoring, evaluation and reporting: • Develop indicators and monitoring tools to assess the impact of programs on durable solutions. • Support the drafting of progress reports, analytical notes and advocacy documents. • Contribute to the preparation of reports for donors and partners. Expected deliverables: • Durable solutions strategy developed for at least one targeted province. • Territorial recovery action plans validated with local stakeholders. • Three training sessions conducted on the themes of recovery and sustainable solutions. • Monthly activity reports and final report including strategic recommendations. • Concept notes or proposals written for resource mobilization.

Master’s degree or equivalent in Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in international development, crisis management, social sciences, public administration or related field.
• Strong capacity for strategic analysis, planning and multi-stakeholder coordination. • Excellent communication, writing and negotiation skills. • Proven experience in partnership management and fundraising. • Knowledge of the Congolese context and community dynamics is a major asset.
• Experience in crisis response, post-conflict recovery or durable solutions, preferably in Central Africa or a similar context to the DRC. • Proven experience in developing and implementing recovery programs in protracted displacement contexts. • Mastery of relevant international frameworks, including the IASC Durable Solutions Framework. Skills: • Strong capacity for strategic analysis, planning and multi-stakeholder coordination. • Excellent communication, drafting and negotiation skills. • Proven experience in partnership management and fundraising. • Knowledge of the Congolese context and community dynamics would be a strong asset.
