Position dimensions

Ensure the successful programmatic and financial implementation of the project “Improvement of conditions in educational centers to strengthen resilience and prevent diseases derived from the lack of Ash adequate services”.

Ensure the successful implementation of the activities defined in the project to achieve the scope of the objectives and results of the project with a humanitarian response approach, focused on ASH, prevention and control of infections in the school context, involving the educational community for the change in behavior in protection from the methodology of clean manite and menstrual hygiene.

Lead the development of monthly, quarterly programmatic and financial reports and those required by International Plan and the Donor.

Lead the processes of coordination, planning, execution: programmatic and financial and monitoring of the delivery of timely reports with their work team, UP and CO staff, who participate in the operation of the project in the intervention areas.

The project coordinator will be based on the UP Quiché, pending defining (Municipality of Sacapulas or Santa Cruz del Quiché), however, he will have to make accompaniment and strengthening trips in the implementation area in the municipality of Sacapulas;With the purpose of supervising and providing technical support to project implementing teams to guarantee programmatic quality, as well as leadership in implementation of International Plan activities with the MINEDUC at the municipality level.

Represent International Plan in institutional dialogue spaces, technical protection tables, Ash and La Hasgua, as part of the humanitarian coordination mechanisms.

Supervises, accompanies and leads the activities planned by the International Plan -based team based on Quiché and Guatemala City.

Qualifications and experience:

Formación:

University degree linked to key projects of the project: Professional in Business Administration, Social Work, Architecture and/or Civil Engineering or AFÍN CARRERA

Experience:

3 years of experience in humanitarian project management, including logistics, budgetary control, development of programmatic and financial reports, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
3 years of experience in team management and leadership.
3 years of experience in the management of subsidies with international donors.
3 years of experience in inter -institutional coordination (municipalities, government institutions, non -governmental, departmental, municipal and local).
Knowledge of the humanitarian and emergency sector: knowledge of the humanitarian context and its principles.

4×4 vehicle driving experience (owning a valid license)

Specific technical knowledge:

Planning knowledge: formulation, execution and evaluation of projects.
Knowledge of human rights and gender approaches.
Knowledge of concepts, methodologies and tools of the Guatemalan political incidence mainly Ash and change of behavior.
Management of participatory techniques and project systematization.
Ability to work effectively with diverse actors, including government officials, NGOs and community members.
Strong organizational skills and problem solving.

POSITION AVAILABILITY:

The work headquarters of the project coordinator is in the department of Quiché, a pending specific headquarters in the municipality of Santa Cruz del Quiché or Sacapulas.
Mobility between the work headquarters and the project intervention area and in activities that are designated by International Guatemala Plan in its various intervention areas.

Skills:
