Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit is hiring a Development Service (Fied) specialist for promoting KKMU in selected value chains

 

Area of ​​activity

The module of technical cooperation (TZ) “Promotion of youth through social-ecological and economic transformation in selected value chains in Sierra Leone” (EET) has the aim of improve the employment and income situation, especially by young people, by strengthening small and medium-sized companies (KKMU) in selected additives, especially with regard to theEmployment effects for women and adolescents are improved.For this purpose, already tried and tested support instruments such as business coaching, marketing, networking, etc. are used, networked with each other and sometimes also based on each other.A fieder is sought for the organizational development and promotion of KKMU in selected value chains.In the so-called hub model as part of a team together with local colleagues in the district’s district office in BO, the fieder is used in Bo and looks after various state and non-state partner organizations.

Your tasks

Advising state partner organizations for the development of effective instruments for business development in rural areas
Advising KKMU in selected agricultural value chains to increase your efficiency, competitiveness, improved product quality, product development, marketing and networking
Support in analyzing selected value chains, for example, poultry production, cassava, cocoa, coffee, vegetables
Support of the district coordinator in the GIZ branch in the strategic planning and implementation of the project activities
Close cooperation with the planning, monitoring and evaluation consultants of the EET program to ensure the quality of the project in line with the theory of change and fulfillment of the process indicators
Advice and support for partner organizations for all program interventions
Support and integration of cross -sectional topics such as equality of the genders and participatory approaches of women, girls, adolescents and people with disabilities
Participation in knowledge management, proper management of all documentation and participation and participation in the global learning community of GIZ

Your profile

Completed (technical) university studies in agricultural sciences, business administration, geography, social sciences or comparable courses, or many years of work experience in agriculture, rural development or private business promotion
Very good skills and proven experience in the moderation of participatory workshops and training
Experience in cooperation with state institutions and non -governmental organizations
Experience in working in intercultural contexts
To think of teamwork and networking with the talent, conceptually and analytically
Structured working style with a high level of self -organization and creativity
Pronounced communication, presentation and moderation skills
Negotiating knowledge of English, knowledge of German is an advantage

References

The GIZ development service is happy about applicants with completed vocational training and / or completed studies who have at least two years of relevant work experience.They also have German citizenship or the nationality of another EU member state.

The willingness on regular business trips is required (frequent business trips to the regions).

Driver’s license (and driving experience) is/are required (Class B).
