United Nations Development Programme is hiring a Associate (a) for the coordination of social actors in ANP with agrarian nuclei.

Project description:

The general objective of the Synergia+ project is to generate management processes that strengthen the Conanp and that
allow to become an institution that plans based on results, with strong finances and mechanisms of
Effective strategic governance and alliances, which contribute to increasing connectivity between ecosystems
representative to safeguard its biodiversity and ecological balance.

The synergy project+ has four strategic results: 1) institutional efficiency;2) Governance, participation
Citizen and collaboration networks;3) ecological representativeness and connectivity;4) Strategic projects
Within the framework of the synergy+project, the person to be hired will carry out the following activities to analyze
the current characteristics, conditions and problems of the agrarian core of Tepoztlán, Morelos and within
ANP’s located in the Regional Directorate Centro and Neovolcanic Axis, to reflect on the actions that
They can be undertaken to be attended collaboratively in protected natural areas.

This position contributes to the achievement of goals of the result 1 “institutional efficiency”.

Work scope:

Support the monitoring and realization of a mapping of key actors to identify actors that affect
In the AP´S agrarian nucleus located in the Regional Directorate Centro and Neovolcanic axis.
Elaboration of a diagnosis that includes community governance, the use and use of
Natural, social and agricultural resources.
Realization of a document proposal that allows identifying urban growth and affectation
in protected natural areas.
Elaboration and monitoring of a methodological proposal to strengthen governance, participation
citizen and collaboration networks in an agrarian core immersed in protected natural areas,
seeking the collaboration of all relevant actors.

Institutional Agreement:

The contracted person will work under the technical supervision of the Office of the National Commissioner of Protected Natural Areas, in coordination with the Regional Center and Neovolcanic Axis Directorate, as well as the General Coordination of the Synergia+Project.

Minimum required qualifications:

Minimum academic requirements:

Candidates with High School/Baccalaureate Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree in: Sociology, Social Work, Community Development or other disciplines of related social sciences.

Minimum experience required:

For candidates with high school/high school certificate, 7 years of verifiable experience are required and for candidates with degree studies, 4 years of experience are required in: Participatory management projects, community development, especially in the context of agrarian nuclei.

Required skills:

Preparation of quality reports.

Other requirements:

Being Mexican citizen in full exercise of their rights, or foreign, whose migratory status allows the function to be developed.

Desired skills:

Knowledge / Experience in: Planning, coordination and facilitation of community development processes especially in the context of agricultural nuclei.
Knowledge / Experience in: Participatory methodologies and popular education.
Knowledge / Experience in: Participatory Diagnostics.
Knowledge / Experience in: Work with indigenous or rural communities

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
