Mission and objectives

The United Nations Development Program in Tunisia works around three strategic axes of the Development Aid Framework Plan in Tunisia 2021-2025 of the United Nations system, namely: 1) inclusive growth;2) Energy, environment, climate change and reduction in disaster risks;and 3) Governance and rule of law.The UNDP regularly communicates around its various initiatives in Tunisia on its website and on different social networks (X, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, YouTube).This communization makes it possible to inform its different audiences (Tunisian citizens, decision -makers, civil society and financial partners on the various activities and achievements of the UNDP in Tunisia while giving visibility to the various stakeholders. To this end, the communication actions of the UNDP Tunisia contribute to the overall impact of UNDP development in Tunis as well as the visibility and the influence of the organization in the national dialogue,And global on development issues.The strategic guidelines for the communication and visibility of the UNDP Tunisia are guided by the high management of the office and coordinates with the communication group of the United Nations team, in which the UNDP plays an active role.

Context

This volunteer assignment is supported by the Swiss Embassy in Tunisia as part of an initiative in partnership with the United Nations Volunteer Program (VNU) to strengthen the inclusion of young people, with a focus on the inclusion of young disabled people (2024-2026).Thus, the candidacies of young people with disabilities with the required qualifications are strongly encouraged.The assistant in communication and creation of content, for youth will help increase the visibility and scope of development initiatives by supporting the creation of visual and digital communication content.He/She will produce brochures, infographics, videos and other multimedia products with a visual component for various communication platforms in Tunisia, illustrating the impact of development actions using simplified attractive supports, and understandable by the general public.

Task Description

Under the direct supervision of the Representative.e Resident.e of the UNDP, and the daily orientation of the associate of communications for the Office Pays du UNDP, the volunteer will undertake the following tasks: • Contribute to the creation of multimedia supports such as videos, stories, photos-reports, illustrating field activities.• Design simple and attractive visuals (infographics, social media visuals, illustrated below, digital posters) according to the graphic guidelines of the UNDP.• Write short and impactful content for social networks and other platforms, highlighting new development reflections, partnerships and people centered on people.• Participate in the edition and assembly of audiovisual content for online broadcasting.• Press creative brainstorming sessions around key messages and cam-tags targeting UNDP key audiences.• Document and organize communication resources (photos, videos, visuals) in an internal database.• Help monitor the performance of the content disseminated and offer improvements according to feedback and commitment statistics.• Collaborate with youth partners and project teams to collect the Maté-riel de field (photos, testimonies, interviews) used to feed the content, and the performance of social networks and the website.

Living conditions and remarks
