Mission and objectives

The overall mandate of the UNDP, included in its 2022-2025 strategic plan, is anchored in the 2030 agenda and the principle of leaving no one aside (Leave no one behind).This mandate aims to promote sustainable development by eradicating poverty in all its forms, by accelerating the necessary structural transformations and by strengthening populations and countries with crises and shocks.

Context

This volunteer assignment is supported by the Swiss Embassy in Tunisia as part of an initiative in partnership with the United Nations Volunteer Program (VNU) to strengthen the inclusion of young people, with a focus on the inclusion of young disabled people (2024-2026).Thus, the candidacies of young people with disabilities with the required qualifications are strongly encouraged.The COVVI-19 crisis has pushed new challenges on Tunisia requiring green, inclusive and sustainable recovery and development.The consequences of the pandemic have repercussions on an economy already weakened by several years of an economic transition in a sawtooth, with a considerable impact on the populations and the productive sector, in particular the microphones and small businesses managed by women in disadvantaged regions.The pandemic worsened even more the effects of climate change on food security, livelihoods, social cohesion and human security.In a context impacted by the consequences of climate change, the Tunisian economy has remained largely dependent on its natural and fossil resources.Their use and pressure exerted by economic development on the country’s ecosystems and natural resources have led to an environmental degradation estimated at 2.1% of GDP.In view of these challenges, it is essential for Tunisia to work for the construction of a decarbonized economy, supported by a private sector committed and resilient, promoting gender equity, the empowerment of women, young people and vulnerable populations The project thus aims to accelerate the transition to a greener economy in Tunisia, in particular concentrating in 7 governorates of TunisGabes, Médenine, Kairouan, Tataouine, Kebili, Gafsa and Tozeur.To do this, the project will strengthen the capacities of national and local institutions and stakeholders, will support the commitment of the private sector, and will contribute to the development of financial innovation in the service of a greener local and more inclusive economic development in favor of women entrepreneurs.As such, the UNDP is recruiting an assistant in monitoring and evaluation and collection of data to support the monitoring and implementation of activities in terms of monitoring and evaluation, reporting and data collection in accordance with UNDP rules and procedures.

Task Description

Under the direct supervision of the CTP of the Geweet Project, the United Nations will undertake the following tasks: 1- Support for the management of the planning, monitoring and evaluation of the project and contribute to the operational monitoring of the planned activities – Ensure the team in place in the planning, management and development of the monitoring and evaluation and reporting calendar in accordance with the document of projects andUNDP.- Contribute to the drafting of monitoring relations with the data of indicators of all the interventions of the project and an assessment of the achievements suffered/to be achieved.- Assist in the development of periodic progress and performance reports specific to the project in accordance with the documents of the projects and the executives of the relative results, among other things by entering the performance indicators so that the reporting activities are focused on the results.- Contribute to the development of survey canvas and carry out activities related to the collection of basic indicators, while ensuring collection as well as support for the processing and analysis of the program data if necessary.- Press the team in the implementation of the collection of qualitative data through focus groups, interviews etc.- Contribute to the organization of learning actions linked to project priorities and sustain the documentation of the results and learning that result from it.2- Facilitate the management, strengthening and sharing of knowledge – Document and support the dissemination of learned lessons while identifying best practices from the implementation of the project both on the programmatic level and on the monitoring and reporting plan and ensuring that the results of the project are integrated into knowledge products for better communication.- Support maintenance in dedicated spaces, project documentation including the various reports and knowledge products generated in accordance with the office of the office in force.-Support the improvement to an effective use of gender tools (Mar-quer of gender equality, the development of action plans on gender, the appetizers on gender and M&E tools) in connection with the themes under the project.

Living conditions and remarks
