International Computing Centre is hiring a UN Volunteers: Support Daily UN Media Monitoring in the Caribbean.
The Online Volunteer will support the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) for the Caribbean by monitoring regional news and producing a daily news bulletin (Monday to Friday) by 9:00 a.m. (Trinidad and Tobago time). The bulletin will include headlines, summaries, and links to relevant news articles, with a focus on UN-related coverage and key social and political issues in the Caribbean. The Volunteer will also contribute to a weekly media insights report on priority topics.
Candidates should have a degree in communications, journalism or political science. It is also required that candidates have strong analytical skills in order to identify the news that are looked for according to UNIC plan, as well as ability to prepare concise summary of news. Finally, an excellent command on social media listening and monitoring tools is highly valued.
