Description

Norwegian Refugee Council is hiring a ICT Officer to support and performsthe daily implementation of the Global, Regional, and Local ICT strategy of NRC, through the application of ICT standard policies and procedures of the organization.He/She supports the Bamako teams and ensures the proper functioning of all the tools, systems, and ICT equipment from the office.

General responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with NRC policies, tools, manuals and guidelines.
Prepare and develop situation reports at the request of your supervisor and management.
Ensure the correct archiving of all the support documents of the mission.
Provide basic assistance, information and/or staff training, on ICT policies and procedures.
Provide Bamako (and the country’s hardware, software and quality software and services to the Bamako Office (and the Pays and Services.
Ensure the proper functioning of Internet connectivity and the NRC Mali network.
Make sure that all NRC systems fully comply with information security requirements and standards relating to the protection of personal data.
Test new equipment and applications and provide full technical information feedback.
Actively promote the standards and principles of the PSEA (protection against exploitation and sexual abuse) within NRC and among NRC participants and partners.

Specific responsibilities:

The ICT officer will perform the following specific spots:

Perform daily checks of ICT installations and equipment (including Internet connectivity) from the Bamako office, and go up any anomaly, for effective care.
Organize awareness and training sessions on NRC (OKTA, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.) computer systems, for new employees and ensure refreshing sessions for current employees.
Coordinate the production of a monthly ICT report, in collaboration with the ICT officers from Goa and Mopti.
Perform routine assistance tasks, including, but without limiting yourself, solving Windows problems, formatting, outlook configuration, access to NRC applications, wiring, connection, troubleshooting of printers and peripherals, etc.
Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair the infrastructure of wireless and wireless networks (Wireless).Ensure preventive maintenance of IT equipment in accordance with the policies in force and after consultation with the regional councilor ICT.
Make sure that the privileges of access to the IT network and other NRC technologies tools as well as the applications in terms of applications are configured and maintained.
Submit requests for purchase of ICT goods and provide assistance to users in terms of purchase by recommending technical specifications for software and equipment.
Ensure the backup (backup) of data in accordance with the procedures and policies in force.

Participate in any other task linked to ICT within NRC Mali, at the request of his hierarchical supervisor.

At least 3 years of professional experience in the management role of ICT, in a preferably humanitarian context;
Experience proven in administration of computer systems and networks;
Experience proven in the initiation of technologically innovative approaches in humanitarian programs;
Previous professional experience in complex and unstable contexts;
Measurable results on the responsibilities of the position;
Educational qualities, clear communication;
Good control of English and French;
Good knowledge of the local humanitarian and security context, general understanding of humanitarian work;
In -depth knowledge of the Office 365 pack;
The design and administration of IP networks, bandwidth and high availability optimization techniques
Knowledge of installation, configuration and maintenance of HF and VHF radios is an asset
Have a grade license diploma in ICT or equivalent recognized in Mali
Planning and obtaining results;
