Description
United Nations Development Programme is hiring a Technical Assenista/a to ensure and carry out activities within the framework of the implementation of the project from the technical, operational and strategic point of view of the Climate Promise 3.0 project in Uruguay, in close collaboration with the UNDP team, the National Directorate of Climate Change (DINACC), other State institutions, and actors of civil society and the private sector.
This position is key to guaranteeing the fulfillment of products, and the actions throughout the period of execution of the project.It will imply both the monitoring of programmatic aspects and the supervision of administrative, and logistics processes.
The scope of work will include:
The implementation of activities within the framework of the Annual Work Plan, focus on compliance with goals and schedules.
The coordination of thematic consultancies, suppliers and strategic alliances.
The articulation and support of key processes such as the study of climate perception, the gender plan and climate change, and the territorial actions of adaptation and mitigation.
The elaboration of technical and strategic meetings minutes.
The review of technical and administrative documents relevant to the project.
The generation of periodic reports linked to the thematic lines of the project.
Logistics and content preparation for events, meetings and dissemination activities.
The facilitation and moderation of consultation, training or dissemination workshops, in person and/or virtual.
The production of strategic supplies to support compliance with the products committed to the AWP.
The fluid relationship with state institutions, with emphasis on strengthening national and subnational climate governance.
Administrative and logistics support for the fluid development of project activities.
The preparation of progress reports.
The documentation of the progress of the project products.
In addition to these tasks, the selected person is expected to provide substantive technical support in the construction of project products, contributing analytical inputs, review, methodological proposals for the production of knowledge and training processes and implementation of these.
The position reports to the Analyst of the Sustainable Inclusive Development Program of UNDP.

Minimum academic education required
Full secondary.
Desirable: Advanced or University Professional Student in Social Sciences, Communications, Human Sciences and/or Economics, as well as have postgraduate degrees in climate change, environment, gender, public policies or related issues.
Desirable: Training in Research, Methodology, Data Management and Information.
Relevant work experience
People with a degree title require a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.Minor academic formations require at least 6 years of relevant experience.
Relevant work experience in the public policy sector or in the private sector/NGOs in related topics.
Experience in gender, social sciences, public policies, research methodologies, environment and climate change will be valued.
The participation and/or knowledge of the programs and projects of the National and/or Environmental Agenda and/or Gender and Inclusion will be assessed.

Generalities:
The consulting will be held under the NPSA contract modality for a period of 6 months with a dedication of 30 hours per week, under the supervision of UNDP.The workplace will be in the UNDP and Teleworking offices, to coordinate.
The hired person must invoice as a unipersonal or university professional company.During the term of the contract, the contracted person may not be a public official or maintain contractual links with state agencies except for the University of the Republic.The person to be hired must be Uruguayan (natural or legal), or foreign with constituted domicile and aim to remain in the territory of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay during all the time that the tasks involved in the contract require it.
