About this position

We are looking for a professional with the ability to organize, advise and evaluate the work done by different consulting firms in a variety of companies providing water and sanitation services in technical and engineering issues.

As a consultant to support the coordination of technical and engineering issues, you will be part of the Coordinating Unit of the Water Connection Program (financed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Cooperation of Switzerland) and within it you will support the team leader in the structuring, execution and supervision of strategic activities related to water loss control issues, energy efficiency, climate change, and other technical issues that arise from the decisions of the decisions of the decisions of the decisions of the decisions of the decisions of the decisions of the decisions ofProgram Management Committee.

You will work in the water and sanitation division (WSA), which is part of the infrastructure and energy sector.The WSA division seeks to ensure universal and sustainable access to high quality, sanitary and solid waste management water services to contribute the sustainable economic growth of our member countries of Latin America and the Caribbean and with the improvement of the quality of life of its citizens.

What you’ll do

●Structure the scope, activities, times, budget and supervision strategy of the consultancies to be carried out under the water connection program related to technical and engineering issues.Collaborate with the execution of the consulting for technical and engineering issues that are developed within the framework of cooperation, ensuring that the defined objectives are met, and performing the necessary control tasks to confirm that the consultants or consulting firms meet the requirements established in the terms of reference, guaranteeing the quality and adequacy of the results delivered.

●Consolidate the results of technical activities and support the creation of replicable success cases, as well as in the elaboration of documents that facilitate the reproduction of these activities in other contexts.Collaborate with the implementation of focused analysis of climate change, and other technical issues if any, based on the Aquarathing system.

What you’ll need

●Education:Master in Engineering, Hydraulics, Civil, Environmental, Water Resources, or Affine.

●Experience:At least 10Years of experienceGeneral and with knowledge of the water and sanitation sector in Colombia, and technical and engineering issues related to the provision of water and sanitation services.

●Languages:Spanish language mastery.

Requirements

●Citizenship:You are a citizen of Colombia or one of our 48 member countries, eligible to have a valid residence or legal permission to work in Colombia without the need for sponsorship by IDB.

●Consanguinity:He has no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including the spouse) who work at the IDB, IDB Invest or BID LAB.

Type of contract and duration

●Type of contract:National Consultant (local remote mode).

●Duración: 36 months.

●Labor location: Remote.
