Area of ​​activity

The components of the Backup Health Global Project Program Address Health System Strengthening at regional and country level in the areas of strengthening health systems, national health financing and local vaccine production to improve the use of global and national funds for health.To support local vaccine production on the African continent, the team works with important partners at all levels, in particular the partnerships for African vaccine production (PAVM) at the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), the Medicines Patent Pool (MPP) and Pharmaceutical Industryworldwide.The subject areas focus on the areas of regulating medicines and medical devices, technology transfer and cooperation with the economy.The activities are embedded in the Team Europe Initiative for the manufacture and access to vaccines, medicines and health technology products in Africa (TEI MAV+) and support its coordination through Team Europe Support Structure (Tess MAV+).

Your tasks

As part of your internship, you have the following tasks:

Participation in and process meetings as well as the various specialist events of the company
Independent research on specialist topics as well as creation and updating overview texts, discussion papers, power point, graphic representations and analyzes of specialist texts
Support with team tasks such as work organization and knowledge management
Support in organizing events and meetings
Support in communication with our partners

Your profile

Studies in the field of public health/health sciences, biopharmaceutical production, economics, social sciences, international relationships or related areas
Preliminary experiences in development cooperation and health issues, ideally the pharmaceutical sector, are an advantage
Experience abroad in LMIC are an advantage
Excellent oral and written expressiveness
Strategic thinking and structured way of working
Pronounced initiative and a high level of teamwork
Very good knowledge of language in German and English, knowledge of French is an advantage
