UNDP operates in over 170 countries and territories, working to eradicate poverty while protecting the planet. We support countries in developing strong policies, skills, partnerships, and institutions to help sustain their progress. The UNDP Regional Bureau for Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (RBEC) operates through its Istanbul Regional Hub and works in close collaboration with 18 Country Offices across Europe and Central Asia.

Context

The UNDP RBEC’s Regional Economic Analysis Team, working under the guidance of the RBEC Chief Economist and in close collaboration with thematic leads from units such as Inclusive Growth, and Sustainable Finance – is seeking to engage Online Volunteers. The focus of this online assignment will be on generating insights through research, basic data analysis, data visualization, and reporting. These findings will be used for policy recommendation and contribute to annual reports, covering both regional and country-specific outcomes.

Task Description

Specifically, Online Volunteer will be expected to: 1) Collect, compile and analysis of relevant data on thematic areas related to Europe and Central Asia; 2) Conduct desk research and background analysis to support ongoing projects and initiatives; 3) Contribute to drafting reports, summaries, and knowledge products; 4) Participate in internal discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions, and collaborative research initiatives with UNDP country offices and partners across the Europe and Central Asia.
