The Role
As the Managing Director, Marketing Performance, Technology, & Analytics, you’ll be integral to our work in helping vulnerable children achieve a brighter future. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the strategic vision for marketing technology, data strategy, and insights to drive marketing performance, supporter engagement, and revenue growth for the Marketing, Communications, and Fundraising division. Reporting to the Head of Mass Market Fundraising & Engagement, you will lead cross-functional teams and external partners in the oversight of financial planning, performance measurement, marketing technology stack, and advanced analytics. You will design the strategic roadmap for marketing data analytics, build and lead a team of analysts and marketing technologists, and embed a culture of insight-driven thinking. You will collaborate closely with the Enterprise Data and Insights teams to ensure alignment, integration, and shared value across the organization. .

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)*

Marketing Analytics & Insights Leadership (25%)
Drive the development of integrated analytics, supporter segmentation, and predictive modeling to optimize marketing ROI
Lead the design and implementation of dashboards and reporting tools that provide real-time visibility into campaign performance and supporter behavior
Translate complex data into strategic, actionable insights by partnering closely with internal data teams, marketing channel managers, and audience leads to ensure analytics are embedded throughout campaign planning and execution—driving decision-making at all levels, from senior leadership to day-to-day operations
Oversee the implementation of advanced methodologies including attribution modeling such as Mixed Media Modeling, predictive analytics, and file health monitoring
Strategic Leadership & Departmental Planning (20%)
Set the vision and strategic direction for marketing analytics and performance management across the Marketing, Communications, and Fundraising division
Serve as a key advisor to the Mass Market Fundraising leadership team and MCF Senior Leadership Team on data strategy, investment planning, performance optimization, and long-term growth
Partner with senior leadership in Business Technology Solutions to shape and implement the enterprise technology roadmap for integrated marketing platforms, centralized data warehouses, reporting and analytics tools and leveraging artificial intelligence to unlock marketing performance and analysis efficiencies
Develop and implement departmental plans that align with enterprise-wide data strategy, divisional priorities, and long-term private fundraising growth objectives
Financial Planning & Performance Management (20%)
Develop and maintain enterprise-level business models, scenario planning tools, and investment frameworks to support strategic decision-making
Lead annual budgeting, reforecasting, and long-term financial modeling in partnership with Finance leaders and MCF’s fundraising leads for the Marketing, Communications, and Fundraising division
Ensure alignment with Finance on reporting standards, KPIs, and performance benchmarks
Lead the development of performance dashboards, KPI frameworks, and quarterly business reviews to drive financial accountability and transparency
External Partnerships & Data Infrastructure (20%)
Manage relationships with key analytics vendors and partners, including contract oversight, budget planning, and deliverable prioritization
Lead internal and external benchmarking initiatives to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
Collaborate with data governance and technology teams to enhance data capture, hygiene, and integration across platforms
Serve as a marketing analytics lead on data governance maturation and infrastructure improvement efforts to support evolving analytics needs
Oversee the uptake and data integration of propensity models, demographic append data, and other third-party data sources to enhance targeting and performance analysis
Team Leadership & Organizational Influence (15%)
Design and evolve a new team of analytics, marketing technology, and strategic insights professionals to support marketing performance objectives
Partner with cross-functional data colleagues to foster a culture of data literacy, innovation, and performance excellence across MCF
Serve on the Expanded MCF SMT and participate in senior management meetings and deliverables as needed, including division meetings, organization wide staff meetings, and board meetings as appropriate
Train, develop, coach, lead, and supervise staff, clearly communicating organization, division and department priorities, and how their work contributes to our mission, ensuring that the working environment continually fosters diversity, inclusion, and belonging – supporting Save the Children values
Required qualifications for the role
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 10 years of relevant experience
Progressive leadership experience in marketing analytics, strategic planning, or financial performance management
Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, multi-dimensional business challenges
Expertise in marketing KPIs, attribution modeling, predictive analytics, and supporter segmentation
Strong business acumen with the ability to align data strategy with organizational goals
Advanced proficiency in data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel)
Exceptional communication and influencing skills, including experience presenting complex information to senior decision-makers and non-technical audiences
Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
Preferred qualifications for the role
Experience with CRM & Multi-Channel Marketing Hub Platforms (e.g., Blackbaud & Salesforce Products),
Familiarity with database structures, data integration tooling, and data lakehouses
Understanding of programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar
Experience in nonprofit fundraising, marketing or technology
Compensation
Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location:
Geo 1 – NY Metro, DC, and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target Salary for this position is $131,750 – $147,250 base salary
Geo 2 – Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $119,850 – $133,950 base salary
Geo 3 – Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $107,950 – $120,650 base salary
The salary ranges listed above are for US based candidates. For candidates located outside of the US, salary ranges will be based on the salary scales of the local employer of record. Actual base salary may vary based on, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location (more information on job structure is available here).
