WE ARE
An internal market unit acting as the epicentre of Commission’s intellectual property work. Globally,

most daunting societal challenges. Our job is to calibrate – through legislation, policy and research – a
Single Market IP System, including relations with international organisations and agencies (WIPO and
EPO). We are also in charge of managing the Union’s largest agency, the EUIPO. Our current
blueprint: the 2020 IP Action Plan and its deliverables.
