BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DIVISION:
The Office of Inspections and Investigations (OIGI) is part of the Office of the Inspector General (OIG). OIGI’s mission is to conduct inspections and investigations into allegations of wrongdoing and misconduct. The purpose of an investigation is to establish facts and provide sufficient evidence and analysis to determine whether a reported allegation has occurred, and if so, to enable WFP management to take appropriate action against the responsible persons or entities.
OIGI investigations may involve WFP personnel, cooperating partners, vendors, and other external parties.

Throughout their assignment WFP interns have access to an industry leading learning platform, weLearn. Depending on opportunities and availability of funds, he/she may participate in WFP workshops or seminars, as appropriate.
LEARNING ELEMENTS
By the end of the assignment, the intern will have gained valuable, hands-on experience working with advanced AI concepts and technologies in a real-world professional setting. They will develop technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and gain insight into how AI can be applied securely and ethically in complex operational environments.
