The Position:

UNFPA supports Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) initiatives through DGNM, DGHS & DGFP and other implementing partners, focusing on enhancing the availability and accessibility of comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services, including family planning, maternal health, and HIV care. These services are designed to be gender-responsive, meet human rights standards for quality, and ensure equitable access. To address ongoing needs, UNFPA strengthens national policies and healthcare sector capacity to provide midwife-led care, emergency obstetric and newborn care, and builds institutional capacity to deliver integrated SRH services in diverse contexts.
To facilitate the effective execution of these programs, under the overall guidance of the UNFPA Operations Manager, Chief of Health and direct supervision of the Finance Analyst, the Project Finance and Admin Officer ensures the effective functioning of financial operations and systems in support of the programme and office management at the project level. The Project Finance and Admin Officer will support both finance and administrative functions including bookkeeping, payments, procurement processing, asset management, HR documentation for personnel under IP/NEX contract for UNFPA Project, and logistical arrangements. The role is key to ensuring compliance with internal policies, donor requirements, and statutory regulations. This position will also be responsible for project expenditure analysis and advises on expenditure trends and implementation rates in coordination with the Programme Associate – SRH.

The Project Finance and Admin Officer facilitates the work of consultants, advisors, and experts and establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with counterparts in government, multi-lateral and bilateral donor agencies and civil society to address emerging issues. S/he must effectively influence counterparts from diverse backgrounds to jointly contribute to achieving UNFPA’s mandate. The Project Finance and Admin Officer is a substantive contributor to the programme team in the Project Office as well as Country Office.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Social Science or related field with 05 years of relevant experience in administration, finance or office management is preferable.
