JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities
Tasks to be performed under this contract
- Attend and provide photo and video coverage of IOM events, field missions, and other relevant activities across Tajikistan.
- Produce short videos, reels, and photo stories for social media and other outreach platforms in line with IOM branding and communication guidelines.
- Edit and deliver raw and processed photo and video content within an agreed timeframe.
- Manage and regularly update IOM Tajikistan”s official social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, and others), ensuring posts are timely, accurate, and aligned with key messages.
- Support the development of visual content for campaigns, awareness activities, and success stories.
- Ensure that all content is gender-sensitive, culturally appropriate, and accessible to various audiences.
- Archive and categorize visual content in a structured and easily accessible format.

- Ensure proper consent and media release forms are completed for all individuals featured in photo and video materials.
- Provide dedicated support to the International Migrants Day information campaign, including creation of tailored visual and written content, photo and video coverage of events, and the development of online and offline promotional materials to maximize outreach and visibility.
Performance indicators for the evaluation of results
- High-quality photo and video content from events.
- Minimum 5 short videos/posts per month for MPI and HRR Department projects and initiatives.
- Minimum 10 social media posts per month for ongoing mission-level activities.
- Minimum 7 short videos/posts specifically produced for the International Migrants Day campaign.
- Monthly social media performance report with insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Well-organized visual archive with categorized files and consent documentation.
- Strict adherence to IOM brand guidelines, visual identity standards, and organizational communication protocols.

- Effective collaboration and responsiveness in incorporating stakeholder feedback and revisions.
- Production of culturally appropriate materials suitable for target audiences and communication objectives.
- Contribution to enhanced audience engagement and improved communication effectiveness.
- Timely and high-quality delivery of International Migrants Day campaign content, meeting agreed deadlines and outreach targets.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s or higher degree in design or similar field from an accredited educational institution with two years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Proven experience in photography, videography, and content creation (portfolio required).
- Experience working with international organizations or NGOs is an asset.
- Knowledge of migration, development, or humanitarian topics is desirable
Skills
- Proficiency in video and photo editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly Facebook and Instagram.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Fluency in Tajik and Russian required; knowledge of English is an advantage.
Languages
IOM’s official languages are English, French and Spanish.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
