JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview

Lead emergency response operations to enhance food security.

You have:

• University degree in food security, statistics, economics, relevant social or natural sciences, or other related discipline relevant to the mandate of the Organization.
• Minimum of 12 years of proven knowledge and experience in emergency response management at the country and/or international level, particularly related to agriculture, food and nutrition security and/or food safety.
• Working knowledge of English (level C) and limited knowledge (level B) of any other official language of the Organization (Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish and Russian).
• Strong individual planning capacity and effective team leadership.
• Able to work under pressure and adapt to an evolving and complex humanitarian context and within multidisciplinary and different cultural background teams.
• Previous experience in similar position in international organizations and humanitarian contexts is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
