Organization Mission
The UNESCO Office in Dakar (also known as the UNESCO Multisectoral Regional Office in Dakar or UNESCO Dakar) represents UNESCO in fifteen West African countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo) covering all UNESCO’s fields of competence, namely education, natural sciences, social and human sciences, culture, and communication and information.
Context
The UNESCO Regional Office for West Africa has prepared its 2024 annual report with the intention of disseminating it to communities, civil society, as well as partners and donors, both in the 15 countries covered and on the international scene.
Key Responsibilities
The successful volunteer will have to demonstrate a good command of graphic design tools and propose an original layout with a high standard of the UNESCO Dakar annual report in French (50p) by October 15, 2025 at the latest; subsequently, he/she will have to adapt the English and Portuguese version. He/she will have to take into account the graphic charter applied to the official documents of an agency of the United Nations System. The volunteer will receive the report by email and will be credited for his/her collaboration in the document.
Required Skills and Experience
The volunteer must have a good command of layout and graphic design tools. They must have a good understanding of French and English.
