About the Climate Finance Capacity Support Programme
DT Global delivers the Capacity Support Programme for MFAT. The scope of this programme is quite broad as its aim is to be responsive to the needs of Pacific Island countries. It includes providing personnel or training to assist with:
· Delivering and reporting on the flexible finance provided by MFAT;
· Developing/updating national climate change plans and reporting frameworks;
· Developing and investment-ready pipeline of projects;
· Delivering climate change priorities;
· Improving climate finance reporting; and
· Accessing a broader range of climate funding.

About the Role
Essential Experience and Knowledge
· A degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Climate Change Environmental Science, or a related field from a recognised institution.
· Demonstrated experience using GIS and mapping software, including ArcMap, QGIS, and Google Earth.
· Familiarity with cartographic principles and basic map design.
· Knowledge of spatial data collection, management, and metadata standards.
· Understanding of climate change impacts, adaptation, and disaster risk assessments.
· Awareness of data formats and data types commonly used and accepted by various GIS platforms.
Desirable
· Experience working with communities, especially in the context of climate change, development, or environmental initiatives.
