Program Background

The Economic and Social Infrastructure Program (ESIP) is an Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) program implemented by DT Global.

Under strategic direction from DFAT officials at the Australian High Commission in PNG, ESIP is delivering a range of activities and policy initiatives in the energy, telecommunications and water sectors. ESIP is also supporting PNG’s state-owned enterprise performance improvement program and delivering social infrastructure planning, design and construction services.

Gender equity, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) and social and environmental safeguards are a focus of the program and are mainstreamed across ESIP’s activities and operations

The Role

The Project Coordinator is dedicated to one or several projects, reporting to the project manager, and supports the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of projects. The role ensures that project activities are implemented according to scope, time, cost, quality, communication, risk, and procurement management standards. The Project Coordinator reports overall to the PMO Manager, responsible for ESIP overall project management implementation and resource allocation.

About You

• A minimum of 5 years of practical and demonstrated experience in project coordination
• Qualifications in project management/ business management / engineering or similar discipline
• Experience in estimating and monitoring project cost
• Knowledge and / or experience of applying GEDSI and safeguards principles.
