ABOUT YOU
We are hiring highly a motivated individual to join our Medical Squadron Team as a Staff Assistant (Occupational Health). In this role, you will serve as the primary administrative point of contact for the Occupational Health Section, managing internal workflows related to patient care and mission-driven medical matters for non-flying personnel. You will also provide direct support to the Occupational Health Officer in various matters as needed. Your work results are used by physicians to make decisions on the physical ability of personnel to perform assigned functions. Your contributions will play a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of occupational and preventive health services, ultimately supporting the health and readiness of the NAEW&C Force.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will possess at least a secondary education along with basic vocational training in Occupational Health or a related medical field. They should have relevant, up-to-date professional experience in Occupational Health, combined with a solid understanding of general office procedures within a medical and/or health administration setting. Proficiency in English and a working knowledge of Automatic Data Processing (ADP) systems are essential for success in this role. Additionally, a good command of the Host Nation language (German) is required. Experience in an international and/or military organization is considered a strong advantage. Further certifications or training—such as qualifications as a medical assistant, technician, or similar—will also be viewed favorably.

YOUR TEAM
The Medical Squadron provides medical emergency and dental care for all on-base military and civilian personnel. You will be part of the Occupational Health Section providing occupational and preventive health services and examinations for the entire NAEW&CF and its employees in accordance with HN regulations to maintain and improve health.

CONTRACT
Serving civilian members of NATO will be offered a contract in accordance with the NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations.
Newly recruited staff will be initially offered a definite duration contract of three years. Thereafter, an indefinite duration contract might be offered.
