JOB DESCRIPTION
ROLE PURPOSE
Under the guidance of the Education Coordinator, the Education in Emergencies (EiE) Officer is responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality education services in emergency-affected areas. The role includes planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of education interventions in line with national standards, donor requirements, and organizational policies. The EiE Officer also plays a key role in promoting the protection and psychosocial well-being of crisis-affected children by ensuring that education services are inclusive, safe, and protective.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Through the guidance of Education Coordinator, the EiE Officer will develop, implement, and monitor quarterly, monthly, and weekly activity plans to achieve program objectives. This includes planning activities, budgeting, and managing procurement processes.
- Ensure that all planned activities are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and remain within budget. Promptly identify and communicate any implementation challenges to the Education Coordinator and support timely resolution.
- Lead the preparation and submission of all procurement and administrative documents required for program delivery.
- Engage with community members, including leaders, parents, and other key stakeholders, to share information about education services and raise awareness of key education issues.
- Organize and facilitate meetings with schools, local councils, and partner organizations to understand community education priorities, introduce the project and its objectives, and foster stakeholder engagement and ownership.
- Maintain accurate records of field-level expenditures and report them to the Programme Manager as required.
- Ensure program implementation is community- and child-centered, aligned with Save the Children’s principles and strategic goals, and fully compliant with internal policies and procedures.

Monitoring and Reporting
- Ensure accurate and consistent collection of program data, verify its quality, and present it in a clear and organized format for review by EiE Coordinator.
- Compile activity updates, achievements, success stories, and lessons learned into weekly reports using standardized reporting formats.
- Support the development of internal and donor reports through timely data submission and input.
- Participate in program reviews and evaluations, contributing insights and feedback to support adaptive programming and continuous improvement.
Collaboration and Representation
- Represent Save the Children professionally in all interactions with partners, community members, and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with key actors, including schools, local authorities, community leaders, and peer organizations.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across teams to ensure coherence and synergy in program design and implementation.
- Represent the EiE program in relevant coordination forums and with local government authorities, as appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS
Preferably a candidate with strong statistical and research background.
Minimum BSC in Education, social sciences psychology, and any other humanity science.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working with international NGOs or UN agencies in humanitarian or development contexts, preferably in the education sector.
- Prior experience working with displaced or conflict-affected populations is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of Education in Emergencies (EiE) principles; familiarity with the INEE Minimum Standards is a strong asset.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in written and spoken [Arabic & English).
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and in complex, challenging environments.
