Global hunger has reached alarming levels in 2022, and WFP, the Nobel Peace Prize winner in 2020, remains dedicated and committed to address this global food crisis. The United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot (UNHRD) is a network of strategically located hubs established to support humanitarian organizations and the broader international community in responding to emergencies and crises. UNHRD provides essential services such as storage, easy access to critical supplies, and technical assistance.
The position holder will work under the supervision of the Logistics Officers – Head of System, and will support the Business Transformation & Support (BTS) Unit in UNHRD business services through ERP-related processes and administrative support.
THE ROLE
The incumbent will contribute to the enhancement of UNHRD business services by supporting ERP-related processes and administrative functions. The role involves assisting with data management, documentation, and coordination tasks to ensure efficient service delivery. The incumbent will also contribute to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures and knowledge tools, supporting the team in delivering accurate, timely, and reliable information for operational use.

The following tasks will be performed under the supervision of the relevant officer and/or of other senior colleague.
Supports core UNHRD activities by performing centralized tasks within the WFP ERP system to enhance service delivery. Contributes to system integrity in UNHRD service delivery by running periodic data reports, monitoring network activities, and conducting random checks in the WFP SAP-based ERP system. Support the Head of Unit in promoting good system practices by maintaining a knowledge repository for reference, learning, and operational support. Assist in monitoring the activities performed by Customer Service and Logistics Assistants across the UNHRD Network, and step into the role during major emergencies as needed. Perform other tasks as assigned based on operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Completion of secondary school education.
Experience: Four or more years of progressively responsible work experience in the relative business stream with experience in general administrative work.
Experience in Supply chain is considered an asset.

Salary scale: UN – Salary Scale
Applicants must be:
· Italian Residents holding a valid passport and/or identity card, and;
· Reside within commuting distance (100-kilometer radius or distance that can be covered within 1.5 hours by car or public transport under average conditions of traffic, weather, and roads) to the office location at the duty station World Food Programme, UNHRD Brindisi, Ex SS 16 Km 906.9, 72100 Brindisi, Italy). If not residing within commuting distance at the time of application, candidates must be willing to relocate to Brindisi, Italy, at their own cost before taking up the assignment. WFP shall not be responsible for any costs associated with such relocation nor shall WFP assist or otherwise be involved in obtaining residency status or legal work permits. Preference will be given to candidates who reside within commuting distance of Brindisi, Italy.
