The UN Resident Coordinator leads the UN Country Team, representing the United Nations system in interactions with Government, parliament, civil society and the private sector to advance agreed sustainable development objectives.
The Resident Coordinator Office supports the Resident Coordinator and the UNCT in developing, implementing, monitoring and reporting on the UN Cooperation Framework (former UNDAF) and in all joint activities related to Agenda 2030 in Uzbekistan.
The UN Resident Coordinator’s Office has five core functions:
Strategic Planning
Economics
Partnerships and development finance
Data and results management and reporting
Communications and advocacy
UN RCO is seeking online volunteer to support the collection of development data.
These activities are essential for understanding development processes, identifying risks and opportunities, and informing decision-making, ultimately strengthening the UN’s positioning as a crucial partner in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals in Uzbekistan. Volunteers will receive feedback on their collaboration and quality of work, a certificate of appreciation upon successful completion, and credit for their support where applicable.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Education: Secondary school and ongoing bachelor studies in economics, business management, entrepreneurship, social sciences or related discipline preferred;
Experience: no work experience is required;
Required skills: Research, summarizing, and monitoring
Translation:Ability to translate from Uzbek to English while maintaining the original context and meaning;
Attention to detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality translations and summaries;
Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, Google Docs, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
